Bain Elementary is made up of two facilities. The Bain Early Learning Academy (ELA) is one of the original school buildings and houses the kindergarten students.  The new, state-of-the-art, facility which was built in 2013 houses the first through fifth graders.

Throughout the years and throughout all of these changes, Bain’s commitment to providing challenging educational opportunities to its students has remained constant.  Our school has consistently produced strong academic achievements and met standards established to promote the development of the total child.  Bain was named anHonor School of Excellence with High Growth by the North Carolina Department of Instruction for both the 2008-2009, 2009-2010, 2010-2011 and 2012-2013 school years.

MinerMint Hill Middle (CMS)

We are proud to announce that Mint Hill Middle has once again been recognized as a National School To Watch for our continued success during the last 3 years. Currently, we have more than 87.2% of our students on grade level in all tested subjects. In addition, parent, student and teacher survey data show ratings among the highest in the district.

Our school has extremely high expectations for the academic achievement of students coupled with a caring, supportive staff who have excelled in their own fields and are considered among the best in the profession.  We have implemented instructional strategies that challenge each individual student to achieve well beyond the standard North Carolina curriculum. In fact, the curriculum for Mint Hill Middle School takes full advantage of the success of the block schedule with the understanding of how adolescents learn best.  While focus on the core academics is top priority, building a well-rounded student ready for the challenges of high school is critical to school success.  To that end, band, chorus, drama, computer skills, vocational preparation, dance, and strong athletics are among the electives offered at Mint Hill Middle.
